Deep ruby red in color with violet nuances. It has a very intense aroma, dominated by floral notes of violet and rock rose, balsamic aromas of resin and cedar, and well-ripened red and black fruit. On the palate, it has good volume, well-integrated acidity, high-quality tannins, and black and red fruit notes. Its finish is elegant and harmonious. Full-bodied with well-balanced acidity, very good tannins, plenty of lively red fruit flavor, and hints of chocolate.

Casa Ferreitinha Papa Figos Douro DOC full-bodied red from the Douro region of Portugal. Papa Figos Douro Tinto is conjured from a blend of local grapes: Tinto Barroca, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. Some of these grapes are grown on the historic Casa Ferreirinha estate. Others are from other local growers owning north-facing vineyards.
