The Alto Estate 1693 is a South African red wine. It is a rich blend of Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The wine is aged in French oak. The Alto 1693 has juicy red fruit and soft violets on the nose rounded off with spiciness. The wine is well integrated with a seamless tannin structure, embodied by mulberries, and pepper. It is finished off with a delicate aftertaste.
